From USA - Protests called for Venezuela in several US cities
Under the slogan “No to war against Venezuela!”, thousands of people are expected to join the planned demonstrations in the capital, in front of the White House, and in other cities across the country.
According to the call, peaceful protests will also be held in Anchorage, Alaska; Charlotte, North Carolina; Eugene, Oregon; Los Angeles, San Diego, and San Francisco, California; as well as in New York City; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Phoenix, Arizona; San Marcos, Texas; and Savannah, Georgia.
“This morning, Caracas was bombed after weeks of threats from Trump that a ground invasion of Venezuela would soon begin,” ANSWER said.
This could be the beginning of another war, based entirely on lies, the organization warned, insisting that “more than 70% of people in the United States oppose another war.”
“Our public funds should be used for the needs of the people!” it added, demanding that the violence not be “in our name.” “We must reject another endless war for profit!” it emphasized.
This war is not about drug trafficking or democracy, but about stealing Venezuela’s oil and dominating Latin America, ANSWER stressed.
The text accompanying the call to action emphasized: “We must take to the streets and say no to another endless war! The people of this country do not want another war! A US war would bring death and destruction to the Venezuelan people.”
