Denunciare il massacro del 21 maggio a Mad Gundekot!
Il nostro caro compagno, grande dirigente del movimento rivoluzionario indiano, Segretario Generale del Partito Comunista dell'India (Maoista), Nambala Kesava Rao, alias Basava Raju, alias BR Dada, è caduto martire nel massacro del 21 maggio 2026 nella foresta di Gundekote, area di Mad, distretto di Narayanpur.
Rendiamo omaggio inchinandosi umilmente a questo eroe rivoluzionario e a tutti i compagni che hanno perso la vita in questo massacro..tra cui il compagno del Comitato di Stato dello staff del CC Nageshwar Rao alias Madhu alias Jung Naveen, i compagni dello staff del CC Sangeetha, Bhumika, Vivek, il segretario del CPYPC compagno Chandan alias Mahesh, il membri del CPYPC Guddu, Rame, Lalsu, Surya, Mase, Kamala, Nagesh, Rago, Rajesh, Ravi, Sunil, Sarita, Reshma, Raju, Jamuna, Geeta, Hungi, Sanki, Badru, Nilesh, Sanju. Ci impegniamo a realizzare le aspirazioni di questi compagni. Esprimiamo le nostre più sentite condoglianze e dolore alle famiglie e agli amici di questi martiri.
Chiamiamo le masse di tutto il Paese, i membri del partito, dell'esercito popolare di guerrigli adi liberazione , i lavoratori e le organizzazioni rivoluzionarie di tutto il mondo a organizzare meeting in memoria di questi martiri e a proseguire sulla via della lotta con la ferma determinazione a realizzare le loro più alte aspirazioni. Condanniamo fermamente questo brutale massacro, parte della piani del governo fascista brahmanico Hindutva di Modi.
Gli agenti spioni della polizia sapevano già che il Segretario Generale del nostro partito, compagno BR Dada, si trovava a Mad. Negli ultimi 6 mesi, alcuni membri di varie unità nella zona di Mad hanno capitolato e si sono arresi alle forze di polizia, tradendoci. Tramite costoro nostre informazioni segrete sono arrivate alle agenzie di spionaggio. Già nei mesi di gennaio e marzo erano stati portati due importanti attacchi contro il compagno BR Dada, ma senza successo. Dopo queste operazioni, nell'ultimo mese e mezzo, 6 membri di quell'unità si sono arresi al nemico. Tra loro c'erano membri del CYPC che avevano avuto un ruolo fondamentale nella sicurezza di Dada. In quello stesso momento ha tradito anche il membro del Comando Unificato che guidava il movimento in Mad. Questo ha semplificato il compito. È per loro che abbiamo dovuto subire una perdita così ingente. L'operazione militare del regime volta a cacciare le masse dalle foreste e dalle terre per consegnarne i beni alle grandi compagnie multinazionali, è stata possibile anche grazie a questi traditori.
Dal 17 maggio, effettivi delle forze armate indiane DRG hanno iniziato a schierarsi nelle aree di Narayanpur e Kondagaon. Il 18, soldati del DRG provenienti da Dantewada, Bijapur e militari dal Bastar sono entrati in azione. Hanno raggiunto la nostra unità alle 9 del mattino del 19. La mattina del 19, dopo aver ricevuto la notizia che le forze di polizia avevano raggiunto un villaggio vicino, l'accampamento si è spostato da lì. Lungo il percorso, alle 10 del mattino c’è stato il primo scontro con la polizia. Successivamente, ci sono stati altri cinque scontri nella stessa
giornata. Nessuno è rimasto ferito in questi scontri. Il 20, per tutto il giorno, i compagni hanno cercato di uscire dall’accerchiamento. Ma non ci riusciti. Nella notte, 20.000 poliziotti hanno circondato la zona.
L'attacco finale è stato lanciato la mattina del 21. Da una parte, migliaia di scagnozzi dotati di armi moderne, riforniti da elicotteri di cibo e acqua, dall'altra parte, solo 35 rivoluzionari che combattevano . Non avevano trovato nulla da mangiare o da bere nelle ultime 60 ore. Erano affamati. È iniziata una battaglia tra queste due parti. I nostri compagni hanno opposto resistenza tenendo BR Dada in un luogo sicuro. Dopodiché, per un po' di tempo non hanno osato farsi avanti. Poi hanno ricominciato a sparare. Il primo martire a guidare attivamente la resistenza è stato il comandante Chandan. Ma tutti hanno resistito coraggiosamente fino alla fine. Molti militari sono rimasti feriti. Un gruppo è riuscito a sfondare l'accerchiamento. Ma per i pesanti bombardamenti gli altri non sono riusciti a fuggire attraverso quel varco. Dopo aver rotto l'assedio, il gruppo si è separato dal contingente principale. Tutti hanno svolto egregiamente il loro compito di proteggere la direzione e impedito fino alla fine che Dada si facesse un graffio. Dopo che tutti erano stati uccisi, il compagno BR Dada è stato catturato vivo e ucciso. C'erano 35 dei nostri compagni in quel gruppo. Di questi, 28 sono caduti martiri, 7 sono sfuggiti sani e salvi allo scontro.
Il punto principale da sottolineare è che da parte nostra in tutta questa zona era stato dichiarato un cessate il fuoco unilaterale. Su impulso del compagno BR Dada, le azioni delle forze armate governative erano state interrotte per creare un'atmosfera favorevole ai colloqui di pace. In 40 giorni non è stata intrapresa una sola azione. In questo periodo, attraverso una cospirazione, il governo centrale e quello statale hanno organizzato congiuntamente un attacco di grande portata. Nessun media ha dubbi al riguardo. Ciò è motivo di preoccupazione. In generale ci si pone la domanda: che cosa ha fatto il partito per la sicurezza dei dirigenti? È una domanda che tutti si pongono. Se dobbiamo rispondere a questa domanda, la risposta è sì... abbiamo fallito. Fino a gennaio, la forza di questa unità era di oltre 60 uomini. Il numero è stato ridotto per consentire facili spostamenti in condizioni difficili. Nel frattempo, alcuni effettivi di alto grado superiore di quella compagnia hanno ceduto e si sono arresi. Al momento dell'incidente, l’unità era ridotta a 35. Avevamo già previsto che ci sarebbero stati grandi attacchi nei mesi di aprile e maggio. Ma il compagno Basavaraj non era disposto a trasferirsi in un rifugio sicuro. Quando gli abbiamo chiesto della sua sicurezza, ci ha risposto... "Non dovete preoccuparvi per me, posso portare avanti questa responsabilità ancora per solo per due o tre anni. Dovete prendervi cura della sicurezza dei dirigenti giovani. Ispirato dai nostri sacrifici, il movimento rivoluzionario riemergerà con forza ancora maggiore, i piani oscuri di questo governo fascista non si avvereranno e la vittoria finale sarà del popolo". Anche quando molti nostri compagni hanno cercato di convincere Dada, non li ha ascoltati. Nonostante le circostanze avverse, ha deciso di rimanere con i quadri e di guidarli da vicino.
I politici del regime e i loro complici, i poliziotti e i media che stanno diffondendo falsa propaganda sul nostro movimento e sulla nostra direzione devono riconoscerlo. Tutti quelli che stanno diffondendo falsa propaganda sul fatto che la leadership abbia abbandonato le proprie responsabilità devono vergognarsi. I veri rivoluzionari non avranno mai paura. Siamo preoccupati per il futuro del Paese. Il governo e le forze reazionarie stanno celebrando la vittoria. La descrivono come una grande vittoria. Noi crediamo che questa sia una grande vittoria per loro. Se il loro piano di costruire una nazione indù corporativa verrà attuato, questa sarà una chiara vittoria in questa direzione. Ma i milioni di persone nel paese che non sono d'accordo con i piani di RSS e BJP di trasformare il paese in una nazione indù corporativa in nome della Nuova India, dell'India Sviluppata, sono preoccupate per questa perdita. Si tratta di una perdita enorme per il movimento rivoluzionario indiano. Il 21 maggio passerà alla storia come un giorno buio. Quando movimenti rivoluzionari si trovano ad affrontare un nemico forte è probabile che subiscano perdite simili. Ma questo movimento è stato costruito sulla sua forte ideologia e sul lavoro di lunga durata del compagno Basavaraj. Sotto la sua guida, è stato sviluppato un solido lavoro dei quadri. Esiste un Comitato Centrale con compagni esperti. Sulla questa base, il movimento rivoluzionario emergerà da questa situazione negativa. Il governo sta usando non solo tutta la suo forza, ma anche gli aiuti ricevuti dagli imperialisti. Schierano l'esercito all’interno del paese, violando le leggi e norme nazionali e internazionali. Si utilizzano artiglieria pesante e carri armati. Con ciò potranno ottenere dei risultati nell'eliminazione fisica dei rivoluzionari armati, ma non è possibile cancellare le idee rivoluzionarie.
Facciamo appello al popolo del Paese affinché comprenda il vero movente di questo massacro, nel nome della Operazione Kagar. Lo chiamiamo a sostenere le idee e la politica dei veri patrioti che stanno sacrificando la propria vita per proteggere il nostro Paese, le sue ricchezze e l'ambiente. Uniamoci contro quelli che stanno vendendo il Paese e i suoi beni ai padroni, alle multinazionali, all'imperialismo.
Il governo sta perseguendo il suo piano di uccidere centinaia di persone tribali e rivoluzionari, senza ascoltare gli appelli delle masse democratiche e rivoluzionarie del nostro Paese per un cessate il fuoco che risolva la questione attraverso colloqui di pace. Perché accade ciò? Quale forza ha tenuto la bocca chiusa sulla questione del cessate il fuoco con il Pakistan? Quali risultati si stanno ottenendo organizzando il Tiranga Yatra? Abbiamo ingannato noi il popolo? Ciò non significa che vogliamo la guerra con il Pakistan. Comprendiamo il nesso tra quelli al potere nel Paese, le grandi aziende e gli imperialisti. Ogni volta che occorre, creare continuamente questo tipo di clima al servizio dei loro piani e dei lori interessi.

Condemn the May 21, Mad Gundekot massacre!
Our dear comrade, a great leader of the Indian revolutionary movement, General Secretary of our party Communist Party of India (Maoist), Comrade Nambala Kesava Rao alias Basava Raju alias BR Dada, was martyred in the massacre on May 21, 2026 in the Gundekote forest in Mad area of Narayanpur district. The Dandakaranya Stressal Zonal Committee pays tribute to that revolutionary hero with a humble bow. Our Dandakaranya Special Zonal Committee humbly pays tribute to all the comrades who lost their lives in this massacre, including CC Staff State Committee level Comrade Nageshwar Rao alias Madhu alias Jung Naveen, CC staff Sangeetha, Bhumika, Vivek, CPYPC Secretary Comrade Chandan alias Mahesh, CPYPC member Guddu, Rame, Lalsu, Surya, Mase, Kamala, Nagesh, Rago, Rajesh, Ravi, Sunil, Sarita, Reshma, Raju, Jamuna, Geeta, Hungi, Sanki, Badru, Nilesh, Sanju. We pledge to fulfill the aspirations of these comrades. We express our deepest condolences and sorrow to the families and friends of these martyrs.
We call upon the citizens of the country, the ranks of the party, PLDA, the working people of the world and the revolutionary organizations to organize Shaheed Smriti Sabhas in memory of these martyrs and to move forward on the path of struggle with a firm resolve to fulfill their highest aspirations. We strongly condemn this brutal massacre, which was part of the conspiracy of the Brahminical Hindutva fascist government.
The police intelligence officers already knew that our party General Secretary Comrade BR Dada was in Mad. During these 6 months, some people from various units in Mad area became weak and surrendered before the police officers and turned traitors. Through them, our secret information has been reaching the intelligence agencies from time to time. In the months of January and March, two major attacks were carried out targeting Comrade BR Dada. But they were unsuccessful. After these operations, in the last one and a half months, 6 people from that unit surrendered to the enemy. Among them were the CYPC members who played a major role in Dada's security. The Unified Command member who led the Mad movement also turned traitor at the same time. This made their job easier. All these traitors, including Ricky, also participated in the operation. It is because of them that we had to suffer such a huge loss. The operation aimed at driving them off the forests and land and handing over their assets to corporates was possible only because of these traitors.
From May 17, DRG personnel started deploying in Narayanpur and Kondagaon areas from Ora side. On the 18th, DRG soldiers from Dantewada, Bijapur and Bastar fighter went in. They reached our unit at 9 am on the 19th. A day before the operation, on the 17th, a PPC member of that unit ran away with his wife. After they ran away, we moved the camp from there. On the morning of the 19th, after receiving information that the police force had reached a nearby village, the camp left there. On the way, the first encounter with the police personnel took place at 10 am. After that, five encounters took place throughout the day. No one was harmed in these encounters. They tried all day on the 20th to get out of the encircled area. But they failed. During the night, 20 thousand police forces surrounded the area.
The final operation was carried out on the morning of the 21st. On one side, there were thousands of goons equipped with modern weapons. During the operation, food and water were brought to them by helicopters. On the other side, there were only 35 revolutionaries who were fighting against the socio-economic problems of the country. Our people had not found anything to eat or drink for the last 60 hours. They were hungry. A battle began between these two sides. Our comrades put up a resistance by keeping BR Dada in a safe place between them. Kotlu Ram of the DRG died in the first round. After this, they did not dare to come forward for some time. Then they started firing again. The first person to be martyred while actively leading the resistance was Commander Chandan. However, everyone resisted bravely till the end. Many soldiers were injured. One group managed to break through the encirclement. But the rest could not escape through that route due to heavy shelling. After breaking the siege, the group separated from the main group. Everyone performed the responsibility of protecting the leadership very well and did not let Dada get even a single scratch till the end. After everyone was martyred, Comrade BR Dada was caught alive and killed. There were 35 of our comrades in that group. Out of them, 28 comrades became martyrs. 7 people escaped safely from this encounter. The list of martyrs is different. The body of Comrade Nilesh has been identified by PLGA.
The main point to note here is that a unilateral ceasefire was declared from our side throughout this zone. On the instructions of Comrade BR Dada, the actions of the government armed forces were stopped and an atmosphere conducive to peace talks was created. Not a single such action was taken in 40 days. During this time, through a conspiracy, the Central and State governments have jointly organized such a big attack. Not a single media person is raising any question about this. This is a matter of concern. It is a common question that what did the party do in terms of security of the top leadership… It is a question that arises in everyone’s mind. If we have to answer this question, yes… we have failed. Till January, the strength of this unit was more than 60. The number was reduced to enable easy movement in adverse conditions. In the meantime, some senior men of that company became weak and surrendered. When the incident happened, the strength reached 35. We had already anticipated that there would be big attacks in the months of April and May. But Comrade Basavaraj was not ready to go to a safe place. When we asked about his safety, his reply was… “You don’t have to worry about me, I can only carry out this responsibility for two or three years. You should take care of the safety of the young leadership. Inspired by the sacrifices, the revolutionary movement will re-emerge with many times more strength, the evil plans of this fascist government will not come to fruition, and the ultimate victory will be with the people.” Even after many of our colleagues tried to convince Dada, he did not listen. Despite adverse circumstances, he decided to stay with the cadre and provide close guidance.
The politicians, police officers and media who are spreading false propaganda about our movement and leadership should realize this. All those who are spreading false propaganda that the leadership has abandoned their responsibilities should be ashamed. Real revolutionaries will never be afraid. We are worried about the future of the country. The government and the reactionary forces are celebrating victory. They are describing it as a big victory. We believe that this is a big victory for them. If their plan to build a corporate Hindu nation is implemented, this is a clear victory in the direction. Crores of people in the country who disagree with the RSS and BJP plan to turn the country into a corporate Hindu nation in the name of New India, Developed India, are worried about this loss. This is a huge loss for the Indian revolutionary movement. May 21 will go down as a dark day in history. Revolutionary movements are likely to suffer such losses when faced with a strong enemy. This movement was built on the strong ideology and long-term cooperation of Comrade Basavaraj. A strong cadre working under his guidance has developed. There is a Central Committee with experienced comrades. Based on these, revolutionary movements emerge from this negative situation. The government is using its full power, not only this, but also receiving help from the imperialists. The army is being used in the country, violating national and international laws and regulations. Large artillery and tanks are being used. This may be somewhat successful in physically eliminating the armed revolutionaries, but it is not possible to eliminate revolutionary ideas.
We appeal to the people of the country to understand the real motive behind this massacre in the name of Kagar. We urge them to support the thoughts and politics of true patriots who are sacrificing their lives to protect our country, its wealth and the environment. Let us unite against those who are selling the country and its assets.
The Indian government is presenting evidence that Pakistani army officers and terrorists are in cahoots. If we believe this to be true… how did the ceasefire come into effect immediately on the orders of the Pakistani DGMO? The government is implementing a plan to kill hundreds of tribal people and revolutionaries without listening to the appeals made by the democratic and revolutionary people of our country for a ceasefire to resolve the issue through peace talks. Why is this happening? Which power has kept its mouth shut on the issue of ceasefire with Pakistan? What success is being achieved by organizing the Tiranga Yatra? Have we misled the people? This does not mean that we want war with Pakistan. Understand the nexus between the people in power in the country, big corporates and imperialists. Whenever they need it, they keep creating such an atmosphere.
