On
the demonstrations on this year’s May Day
Despite
the government’s attempt to hinder the May Day protests, despite
the traffic ban measures, which were still in effect, despite the
slanders about “irresponsibility” of the protesters, despite the
spread of fear among the people and the possibility of police
intervention, concentrations and demonstrations did take place across
the country today. The obstacles were overcome to a large extent and
the will to struggle was expressed under the difficult conditions our
people live in, both because of the pandemic as well as the attempt
of the system to take advantage of it and load the burdens of this
new crisis that it created on the people. Of course, since we are
already on the day after the quarantine, these demonstrations are
still far from what our times demand, so that the working class and
the people unfold their resistance and their claims and repel the new
round of attack.
Clearly
inconsistent and undermining was the attitude of CPG and AWMF (PAME),
with its “symbolic” demonstrations, with which they once more
served their need to demonstrate their “responsibility” towards
the system and their compliance to its guidelines, receiving the
reward of the congratulations from the media. As far as SYRIZA is
concerned, their stance is another proof that they stand completely
against the people and its movement.
CPG(m-l)
played a role in the accomplishment of May Day concentrations and
protests, wherever it had the power, which is characteristically
apparent from the live correspondences from different cities
published on the internet. In this contributed its live propaganda to
the people and the initiatives it took so far. The blocks of CPG
(m-l) and Class March, along with the blocks of the comrades of
TKP/ML, participated en masse in these concentrations and
demonstrations, either based on their own forces or in communication
and coordination with other Left organizations and collectives, to
the point allowed by the current relations between left end
revolutionary forces and the possibilities for common initiatives.
The
positive review that was recorded profess that CPG(m-l) (in these
conditions and in the face of what will follow) will be present in
the battles that the working class and the people will be called to
give.
LONG
LIVE WORKERS MAY DAY!

LIVE THE UNCALMED STRUGGLE WITH THE FORCES OF CAPITAL AND
