Against
the G7 Summit in Taormina!
The
fascist-imperialist Trump out of Italy!
Shatter
the showcase of Imperialismo … may they do not sleep tight!
On
26 and 27 of May in Taormina, Sicily, the imperialist countries
members of the so-called G7 (US, Japan, Germany, France, United
Kingdom, Italy, Canada) will meet to discuss their “agenda”,
which formally includes the discussion of the most “burning”
issues in the world.
They
did not choose Sicily by chance, since it is located in the centre of
the Mediterranean Sea, and has acquired an increasingly strategic
position in the past decade for the imperialists who aim and need to
control the entire burning region of the countries bordering this
sea, become a new cemetery of peoples; more and more such countries
are one of the storm centres of the clash between imperialism and
oppressed countries and the tendency to the inter-imperialist war, in
this historical period of world economic crisis.
A
decade in which the face of the earth has been distorted, a decade in
which the contradictions
became even stronger and more inextricable and, internally to the individual imperialist countries, the march of modern fascism accelerated. The election of Trump in the US is a part and stage of this acceleration.
became even stronger and more inextricable and, internally to the individual imperialist countries, the march of modern fascism accelerated. The election of Trump in the US is a part and stage of this acceleration.
Sicily,
along with the entire southern Italy, has become a major military
platform, full of conventional and nuclear weapons, military bases,
as Sigonella, civil airports transformed into military, as Trapani
and Palermo, instruments for the control of military
telecommunications, as the radar centre in Marsala and the MUOS in
Niscemi.
An
island of weapons, death and destruction from which war actions, with
or without drones, are launched.
At
the G7 summit in Taormina, as well as in other “summits”, the
imperialist countries measure from time to time their contrasts and
power balance, in the no-holds-barred race to a new division of the
world, as congenital and structural of imperialist system and in
which each imperialism seeks to take the maximum advantage for
itself.
The
G7 summit in Taormina, has been urged and organized by the former
Prime Minister Matteo Renzi, as a need for Italian imperialism, to
crown the achievements of his government in the world arena, but,
above all, as the new Italian premier Gentiloni said in his slavish
and shameful call to Trump, to get the consecration as leading
country in the handling of the crisis in the region, particularly in
Libya. From there the endless migration produced by the wars of
aggression and the growing poverty is coming. Imperialism is war!
Imperialism first creates the conditions and then use the wave of
migrants to build the racist consensus for its governments and
policies! The true “populism” is that of the governments that on
a world scale seek to bind the masses to their own plans and
interests.
This
G7 summit in May is the first major visit abroad of the
fascist-imperialist Trump, therefore we have to make the voice of
proletarian and people’s opposition, of anti-fascists and
anti-imperialists from our country be heard.
All
those who are protesting against Trump, from US and many countries in
the world, look to this opposition.
At
this G7 summit Trump wants to preserve and extend all the US and NATO
bases but wants that the imperialist governments pay the cost and the
latter will further unload this burden on the proletarians and
people, cutting wages and welfare.
Let's
build together a large and militant demonstration against Trump,
against the G7, against Italian imperialism, against the imperialist
intervention in Libya, in solidarity with the proletarians and
peoples in struggle, in support of migrants for welcoming, freedom of
movement, to close all bases used by NATO, to close the detention and
expulsion centres of migrants as CIE, CARA, HOTSPOTS
