Stato di polizia in Tunisia: tre giorni di rivolta nel sobborgo di Tunisi di Sidi Hussein. La polizia ha attaccato una manifestazione nel centro di Tunisi, forte reazione dei manifestanti

Sei giorni fa la polizia ha condotto una retata nel sobborgo della capitale di Sidi Hassin arrestando un giovane che è morto in custodia della polizia dopo poche ore. Il quartiere è quindi diventato improvvisamente caldo e la gente è scesa in strada per attaccare la stazione di polizia locale e sono scoppiati degli scontri. La polizia ha condotto attacchi violenti usando grandi quantità di gas lacrimogeni e ha caricato la folla con le proprie camionette per arrestare le persone. Durante queste discese un gruppo di poliziotti è stato filmato mentre stava picchiando un ragazzino, in seguito un poliziotto lo ha spogliato, lasciando il ragazzo completamente nudo mentre continuava a picchiarlo cercando di portarlo in un minivan. Alla fine il ragazzo di 15 anni è stato arrestato.
Per le tre notti successive il quartiere ha visto pesanti scontri tra i giovani e la polizia, mentre nel paese si è diffusa la rabbia contro questa brutalità poliziesca che ha ricordato i tempi bui dei regimi di Bourguiba e Ben Ali.
Il presidente della Repubblica in persona è intervenuto nella vicenda e ha convocato il presidente del Consiglio, poiché ricopre anche la carica di ministro dell'Interno ad interim, e il ministro della giustizia, per manifestare profonda insoddisfazione per questa vicenda. Sicuramente il Presidente della Repubblica ha utilizzato questo episodio per guadagnare terreno nell'attuale crisi istituzionale che contrappone la stessa presidenza della repubblica da una parte e il governo e la presidenza del parlamento dall'altra. L'effetto immediato di questo incontro è stato che il giovane è stato liberato senza alcuna accusa a suo carico anzi il ragazzo si accinge a perseguitare legalmente il poliziotto che ora è sospeso dalle sue funzioni.
Il movimento di sinistra e rivoluzionario ha convocato una manifestazione per sabato 12 giugno da Sidi Hassin al ministero dell'Interno nel cuore della capitale: Avenue Habib Bourguiba. La manifestazione era capeggiata dalla famiglia del ragazzo ucciso due giorni prima portando striscioni e magliette con la sua faccia e chiedendo giustizia, hanno partecipato duecento persone, principalmente giovani.
I manifestanti hanno trovato un'enorme presenza di polizia che bloccava la strada per il ministero dell'Interno, quindi hanno iniziato a gridare slogan contro la brutalità della polizia e il governo.
Dopo un po' la polizia ha iniziato a picchiare le persone con l'obiettivo di portarle fuori dall'Avenue Bourguiba, considerata la "vetrina" dei turisti e della borghesia locale dove secondo il governo non dovrebbe esserci posto per mostrare i veri problemi e contraddizioni del paese, ma questa volta è stato più difficile per la polizia compiere il proprio dovere: decine di ragazzi e ragazze hanno resistito alla violenza della polizia lanciando loro ciò che trovavano per strada.

Gli scontri sono finiti in serata, alcune persone sono state arrestate ed è stata indetta un'altra manifestazione per il 14 giugno per ottenere il rilascio di tutti. Intanto gli scontri continuano la notte a Sidi Hassin e si diffondono anche in altri quartieri proletari come Ettadhamen.

Come lo scorso gennaio-febbraio durante l'ultima rivolta giovanile, il movimento rivoluzionario prosegue sulla strada del tentativo di unire il movimento proletario del quartiere con il movimento politico e studentesco del "centro" promuovendo manifestazioni col tentativo di unire i giovani dei quartieri al movimento d'opposizione, portando lo scontro anche davanti i palazzi del potere nel cuore della capitale

Six days ago police descended in Sidi Hassin capital suburb arresting one young guy who died in police custody after few hours. The neighborhood suddenly became hot and the people came to the streets in order to attack the local police station and scuffled erupted. Police conducted violent attacks using large quantity of tear gas, and runned into the crowds with their minivan in order to arrest people. During these descends a group of policemen were filmed while they were several beating a young boy, later on one policeman undressed him, leaving the boy totally naked while continue to beat him trying to bring him in one minivan. Finally the 15 years old boy was arrested.

For the following three nights the neigbourhood saw heavy clashes between the youth and the police, while in the country spreaded the anger against this police brutality that reminded to the dark times of Bourguiba and Ben Ali regimes.

The president of Republic in person intervened in the affair and summoned the prime minister, since he is the home minister ad interim too, and minister of justice in order to express is deep dissatisfaction about this affair. It is for sure the the President of Republic utilized this episode in order to gain terrain in the current institutional crisis between the presidence of republic itself from one side and the gouvernment and the presidence of the parliament on the other side. The immediate effect of this meeting was that the young boy was realesed without any chrges against him on the contrary he is going to legally persecute the policeman who is now suspended from his functions.

Left and revolutionary movement called for a demonstration for saturday the 12th of june from Sidi Hassin to the Minister of Interior Siege in the heart of the capital: Avenue Habib Bourguiba. The demonstration was headed by the family of the boy killed two days before bringing banner and T-shirts with his face and asking for justice, two hundreds people, mainly young, participated.

Demonstrators found a huge police presence blocking the way to home minister, so they started to shout slogans against police brutality and the government.

After a while police start to beating the people with the aim to bring them out from the Avenue Bourguiba, considered the “shop window” for tourists and the local bourgeoisie where according to the gouvernment there should not be place to show the real problems and contraddictions of the country, but this time was harder for the police to accomplish their duty: dozens boys and girls resisted to police violence throwing to them what they found on the street (watch the VIDEO here)

The fight ended in the evening, some people were arrested and another demonstration was called for the 14th of June in order to obtain the release of everyone. Meanwhile the scuffles continue at night in Sidi Hassin and also spreaded in other proletarian neigbourhood like Ettadhamen.

Like the last january-february during the last youth uprising, the revolutionary movement continue to the path of trying to unite the proletarian movement from the neighborhood with the political and student movement of the “center”.

These new events once again confirm how erroneous are reformist and petty bourgeois analysis referring to the political Tunisian situation as a “democratic transition” after the Popular Uprising of 2010/2011 or so called “revolution” as reformists refer to it.
