Il PCI (maoista) dichiara uno sciopero generale totale (Bandh) per il 17 ottobre in 4 Stati a fermo sostegno dei contadini e dei lavoratori e continuando a sostenere la loro richiesta di un ritiro delle tre controverse leggi agricole introdotte dal governo di Narendra Modi

Distretto di Ranchi, 13 ottobre 2021: Il PCI (maoista) ha condannato l'uccisione di pacifici contadini che protestavano nel distretto di Lakhimpur Kheri nell'Uttar Pradesh usando le parole più forti possibili, invitando le persone in generale a fare proprio e sostenere l’appello per un bandh in quattro stati – Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh settentrionale e Uttar Pradesh – il 17 ottobre.

Martedì, il portavoce del Comitato Regionale del CPI (maoista) del Bihar-Jharkhand-North Chhattisgarh e dell'Uttar Pradesh Simant, compagno Manas, ha dichiarato di essere fermamente a sostegno dei contadini e dei lavoratori e continuerà a sostenere la loro richiesta di un ritiro delle tre controverse leggi agricole introdotte dal governo di Narendra Modi.

"C'è un urgente bisogno che i cittadini rispettosi della legge e amanti della pace del paese riflettano sul loro ruolo in un momento in cui i governi Modi e Yogi Adityanath stanno scatenando il terrore sul popolo per dare più potere alle mulutinazionali. Dovremmo rimanere seduti in attesa del tipo di genocidio che si è verificato a Lahimpur-Kheri il 3 ottobre o dovremmo sforzarci di stabilire una nuova democrazia rafforzando la guerra popolare e potenziando le aree di base per l'autogoverno?" chiede il compagno Manas.

"Quattro contadini sono stati schiacciati sotto una jeep a tutta velocità dal figlio del ministro Ashish Mishra e molti altri sono rimasti feriti. Una folla non riesce a rimanere calma dopo un crimine così atroce e in reazione l'autista e gli altri scagnozzi a bordo dell'auto assassina sono stati attaccati e uccisi. Solo una persona mentalmente instabile o membri della banda di assassini possono avere simpatia per loro", si legge nel comunicato.

Esentando i servizi di emergenza come la fornitura di latte, acqua, medicine, e ambulanze e vigili del fuoco dallo sciopero, il PCI (maoista) ha invitato tutti i settori della società a unirsi a loro nello sciopero per l’intera giornata e dimostrare il potere delle masse.

"Se il popolo non ha la propria milizia non ha nulla e allo stesso modo se non ha potere politico non conta nulla", ha detto il compagno Manas, chiedendo al popolo di ricordare queste frasi.

 CPI (Maoist) Calls For Bandh On October 17 In 4 States in firm support of the farmers and laborers and would continue to support their demand for a rollback of the three contentious farm laws introduced by the Narendra Modi government.

Ranchi District, October 13, 2021: The CPI (Maoist) has condemned the killing of peaceful protesting farmers in Uttar Pradesh’s Lakhimpur Kheri district in the strongest possible words, calling upon the people at large to introspect and support its call for a bandh in four states — Bihar, Jharkhand, North Chhattisgarh and Uttar Pradesh — on October 17.

Issuing a press statement on Tuesday, spokesperson for Bihar-Jharkhand-North Chhattisgarh and Uttar Pradesh Simant Regional Committee of the CPI (Maoist), Comrade Manas, said they are standing in firm support of the farmers and laborers and would continue to support their demand for a rollback of the three contentious farm laws introduced by the Narendra Modi government.

“There is an urgent need that the law-abiding and peace-loving citizens of the country introspect their role at a time when the elected Modi and Yogi Adityanath governments are unleashing terror on the people to give more power to the corporate. Should we remain sitting ducks waiting for the kind of genocide that occurred in Lahimpur-Kheri on October 3 or should we strive towards establishing new democracy by strengthening people’s war and empowering base areas for self rule?” Comrade Manas asked.

“Four farmers were crushed under a speeding jeep by the minister’s son Ashish Mishra and several others were injured. A crowd cannot remain calm after such a heinous crime and in reaction the driver and other goons on board the killer car were attacked and killed. Only a mentally unstable person or members of the killer gang can have sympathy for them,” the release read.

Exempting emergency services like milk, water, medicines, ambulance and fire brigade from the bandh purview, the CPI (Maoist) have called upon all sections of society to join them in the daylong strike and demonstrate people’s power.

“If people do not have militia they have nothing and likewise if people don’t have political power they are worth nothing, Comrade Manas said, asking the people to remember these lines.
